Cancellation policy

  • Order Cancellation by Users
Users may cancel an order before it has been accepted by the restaurant or before preparation has begun. Once the restaurant starts preparing the order, cancellation may no longer be possible.

  • Restaurant-Initiated Cancellations
A restaurant may cancel an order in cases such as item unavailability, operational issues, or unexpected circumstances. In such cases, the user will not be charged for the cancelled order.

  • Delivery Partner Cancellations
If an order is cancelled due to delivery partner unavailability, safety concerns, or logistical issues, the order may be cancelled automatically to ensure service reliability.

  • Prepared or In-Progress Orders
Orders that are already prepared, packed, or out for delivery are generally not eligible for cancellation to prevent food wastage and ensure fair compensation to service providers.

  • Promotional and Discounted Orders
If a cancelled order included promotions, discounts, or offers, such benefits may not be reissued or reused after cancellation.

  • Repeated or Misuse of Cancellations
Excessive or repeated cancellations may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on the ability to place orders through the platform.

  • Force Majeure Situations
MXEats reserves the right to cancel orders due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, technical failures, or safety concerns.

  • Platform Discretion
MXEats retains the right to determine eligibility for cancellation based on order status, timing, and operational feasibility to maintain a fair marketplace for users, restaurants, and delivery partners.
